We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pedorthist to join our healthcare team. As a Pedorthist, you will specialize in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit, and modification of footwear and orthotic devices to alleviate foot problems caused by disease, overuse, or injury. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal foot health and mobility. Your role will involve evaluating patients’ lower limb anatomy and biomechanics, taking measurements and impressions, and creating custom orthotic solutions. You will also be responsible for modifying existing footwear and recommending appropriate off-the-shelf or custom-made shoes. A successful Pedorthist should have a deep understanding of foot anatomy, gait analysis, and materials used in orthotic fabrication. In this position, you will play a critical role in improving patients’ quality of life by addressing issues such as plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot complications, arthritis, and sports-related injuries. You will educate patients on proper footwear choices and provide follow-up care to ensure the effectiveness of prescribed devices. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Certification from a recognized pedorthic organization and relevant clinical experience are highly desirable.
